The Eagle Creek Pack-it Isolate Compression Packing Cubes, are your traditional compression packing cube, where you fill the packing cube, and then use the second zip , to compress it down to a more narrow cube, saving you space in your bag.
The Eagle Creek Pack=It Expansion Packing Cubes are a new concept. Take a normal packing cube and expand it to fit more in. However one can easily then use the expander zip to compress, the larger expanded cube, back down to its original standard size. So in essence, one can use an Eagle Creek Pack-It Expansion Cube, as a compression cube, or an expansion cube.
